Peer Review Revisited

Peer Review Revisited

In my opinion, although we’ve only done it twice now the two different peer reviews were completely different experiences. The first time around my partner and I did our best to go into detail on each other’s papers but we didn’t want to be rude or go in-depth on our comments. However, after seeing our professor’s comments and some of the ideas we gave each other I believe we realized that we’re better off helping ourselves as much as possible. The best way to do that is to read through a classmate’s paper thoroughly, learn yourself, get more ideas and share some of your ideas. You learn to take in the way someone else portrays their ideas, their strengths, and weaknesses, and then you compare that to your own work. You see your own strengths and weaknesses, you just have to take the time to read over your work. I also feel for the most part that everyone was fully prepared for the peer review with everyone having done the majority of their essays if not all of it prior to class.
