St.Croix, being an American brand, is very proud to support their veterans and has made a limited edition rod to support our troops. Some of the proceeds from the rods purchased will be donated to the take a vet fishing foundation and the other proceeds will go to the wounded warrior foundation. The rods will be sold for $200 a piece which is moderately expensive but on par with St. Croixs fishing rods. The donation goal which St. Croix has put in place for itself is $80k, with the proceeds being divided equally between the two foundations. The description of the post also outlines how fishing has made a positive impact on the lives of veterans of all kinds. Fishing has been proven to be beneficial both to the mental health and physical health of our veterans, it is a low stress activity which often requires very little physical exertion and therefore everyone can do it.
