St.Croix Rods, a manufacturer of fishing rods for over seventy years is an American company, originally producing fishing poles out of bamboo. They have refined fiberglass and carbon composite materials to be used in their newest products, revolutionizing the fishing industry. Many tournament fishermen, specifically fishing for largemouth bass, represent St. Croix as one of their sponsors and the company continues to grow. The Company is trying to convey to their audience that no other brand of fishing rod can compete with the St. Croix brand. They have a “legendary” status that some companies may try to replicate but it won’t be the same as a St. Croix rod. The language used in the post implies to buyers that if you fish with the brand St. Croix you will be more likely to have good days fishing. You might find yourself catching more fish if for instance you stop using shimano and switch to St. Croix, this is the implication of the language used in the post. How do you know until you’ve purchased a rod and tried it for yourself.
