The Interviews in our second round were much more thorough and professional than the first round of interviews. I was an observer this time around and things were much more well rounded from my perspective. The search committee did a much better job of touching on all the required subjects. Specifically outlining the overall interview and further detailing the next steps of the interview process. Wesley’s group did a great job of outlining the interview process and assuring the interviewee that there would be time for questions at the end of the interview. There were still some things said that seemed far fetched and I remember one question in particular regarding salary which was deemed unprofessional. In my future interviews I will make sure to research the company that I’m applying for before I walk into the interview. Not only is it important to understand the job description in full, but it will make me seem more professional in the eyes of the search committee.
